FILM Genre is a concept used in film studies and film theory to describe similarities between groups of films based on aesthetic or broader social, institutional, cultural, and psychological aspects. 
Film genre shares similarities in form and style, theme, and communicative function. 

Genres are used by industry in the production and marketing of films, by film analysts and critics in historic analysis of film, and as a framework for audiences in the selection and experience of films.

In  film , a  sequence  is a series of  scenes  that form a distinct narrative unit, which is usually connected either by a  unity of location  or a  unity of time . For example, a  heist film  might include an extended recruitment sequence in which the leader of the gang collects together the conspirators, a robbery sequence, an escape sequence, and so on.  Each of these sequences might further contain sub-sequences; for example the robbery sequence might consist of an entry sequence, a safe-cracking sequence, and so on. The sequence is one of a hierarchy of structural units used to describe the structure of films in varying degrees of granularity.  Analysed this way, a film is composed of one or more  acts ; acts include one or more  sequences ; sequences are divided into one or more  scenes ; and scenes may be thought of as being built out of  shots. Understand what a script is.   The script, or screenplay, outlines all of the elements (audio, visual, behavior, and dialogue) that are required to tell a story through movies or TV. A script is almost never the work of a single person. Instead, it will go through revisions and rewrites, and ultimately will be interpreted by the producers, directors, and actors. Writing the Script Outline your story.  Begin with a basic flow of your narrative. Focus on the conflict of the story; conflict drives drama. Keep length in mind. When in script format, each page is roughly one minute of screen time.  The average length of a two-hour script is 120 pages. Dramas should be around the 2-hour mark, comedies should be shorter, around one and a half hours. Write your story in three acts.  The pillars of a screenplay are the Three Acts.
